If anything, I would say that the save files are the main point of interest here – it’s almost impossible to find a good archive of MOTHER 2 GBA save files, so hopefully this archive solves that problem. Even so, my hope is that these screenshots will be helpful to someone down the road. As MOTHER 1+2 was never released outside of Japan, there’s no English equivalent to compare it too, so the screenshots in this archive only include Japanese text.Īlthough the GBA release did revise a few lines of text in the game (which I cover in detail in my 430-page EarthBound Legends of Localization book), most of the GBA version’s text remains unchanged from the Super Famicom release. Mother 1+2 is also a compilation consisting of Mother (some fans called it Earthbound Zero) and Mother 2 (EarthBound) that was released in Japan for Nintendos Game Boy Advance during the summer of 2003. The hacks provided here allows you to modify the Mother 1+2 ROM to autoboot directly into either MOTHER or MOTHER 2. This archive contains save files and screenshots from the MOTHER 2 half of MOTHER 1+2 for the Game Boy Advance. Mother 1 (Earthbound Beginnings) and Mother 2 (Earthbound) combined on one cart for the GBA. Mother 1+2 (J) (Trashman) is a 2-in-1 video game created by Shigesato Itoi from Nintendo. Description: Mother 1+2 is a nice little package that includes the first two entries on the cult-classic franchise known as MOTHER, or EarthBound in the USA/Europe. Translation Description: The first game is mostly done, using the script from the NES prototype. The first game is available in English as an NES prototype. Mother 2 was released here as Earthbound on SNES. For convenient viewing, most of the images I’ve gathered can be seen on the following 36 pages. Mother 1+2 is a compilation of two role playing games for the Game Boy Advance. I’m sharing these resources with the public, as I’m sure others will find them useful in someway, sometime. This page features some of the raw, uncurated data and files I’ve assembled for Legends of Localization purposes.
